How to prevent your hangover – before you go out
- Don’t go out on an empty stomach: eat almonds, peanuts, fish, chicken or a protein shake
- Don’t drink on an empty stomach – have healthy snacks
- Take a probiotic – Bifidus detoxifies acetaldehyde (a digestive byproduct of alcohol)
- Support your liver with Overdrive before you go out and afterwards
- Water – try to drink a glass of water for every alcohol beverage

Festive season eating tips
Remember the following:
- If you go overboard the one day – the next day or more you need to do some repair – follow the afterparty tips
- Drink mint tea – it will aid with digestion
- Remember to avoid snacks that are high in transfats and preservatives
- Preferably eat fruit and veggie snacks
- Eat snacks that are low GL/GI
- Do not starve yourself before you go out for a meal – have a light snack. Remember overeating and cravings will follow

Remember the sun protection cream every hour, hats, sunglasses and lots of water. Eat carrots, mango, spanspek, apricots – these fruits contain beta-carotene and that will assist in protecting your skin
