10 Tips for good digestion
When you digest your food better, you will experience all the benefit from the food that you eat.
Tip 1
Eat when you are calm and eat in a relaxed way. Chew your food well. When you are in a hurry: eat fresh fruit, drink a juice or eat a protein bar.
Tip 2
Exercise will assist digestion and keep you regular. Remember – two hours between a big meal and strenuous exercise.
Tip 3
Drink enough water – 1.5 – 2 liters per day.

Eat enough food with fiber.
Tip 5
Remove foods that are difficult to digest and if you don’t know which foods digest difficult, you should get checked for IGG food intolerances.
Tip 6
Minimise toxins and irritants. Eat organic and simple. Avoid preservatives, colourants, fluoride and carrageenan (in cottage cheese). They can aggravate bad digestion.
Tip 7
Check chronic indigestion. You might have one or more of the following:
- High stomach acid
- Low stomach acid
- Pathogens in the gut
- Low in good bacteria
- Low in digestive enzymes
Tip 8
Occasional indigestion, bloating, heartburn and flatulence are normal – if it becomes ongoing – contact your healthcare practitioner.

Listen to your body and don’t eat food that makes you feel bad

Eat consciously and not unconsciously – don’t sit and watch television and just eat.
