The new year gives us all another opportunity to create the life that we’d like for ourselves and for those close to us. How will you be doing this?
A new school year brings with it both excitement and an element of anxiety. A new school, a new class, a new teacher and new friends all contribute to a level of stress and anxiety for both young children and teenagers. Adding to this anxiety is the stress that children pick up from their parents. Did you know that a child is continually connecting with their parent or primary care-giver at a subconscious level to determine that “all is well? Parents offer their children support as best they know, but often this is not enough. Often, parents’ high levels of stress and anxiety make it difficult for them to be as “available” to their children as they’d like.
Tension Release Exercise (TRE) is a body-based modality designed to release accumulated stress and tension from the body. TRE is helpful for everyone – but parents who choose to do a course of TRE, find how being calmer and less stressed has a positive and direct effect on how their children experience life.
