Ivermectin versus Iodine for the Covid pandemic
Ivermectin versus Iodine for the Covid pandemic?
Q & A with Sue Visser
January 2021 Introduction: I have received several inquiries about Ivermectin, an old-fashioned veterinary drug used for controlling mites, scabies, roundworms and other parasites. Now people want to take it because it shows promise as a wonder drug that could eradicate the Covid-19 / SARS 2 viruses. Ivermectin comes from avermectins that are naturally occurring compounds (fermentation products) from the soil namely actinomycete such as Streptomyces avermitilis. The avermectins stimulate the γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor in the peripheral nervous system, blocking the electrical transmittance between nerves and muscle cells, which leads to hyperpolarization and subsequent paralysis of the neuromuscular systems in insects and nematodes.
People keep asking me if there is something better to use? Something that has stood the test of time – that is not patented, possessed and promulgated at a profit?
Yes there is. Good old-fashioned iodine, and you can buy 20 ml for as little as R20 from Clicks or Dis-chem! In other words, at 10 cents a day, a drop of iodine will keep the corona at bay. The problem is nobody believes me!
Q: How many trials have been done on humans – for how long and how safe is it to dish out Ivermectin indiscriminately?
Ivermectin (Stromectol) was shown to reduce viral colonies of COVID-19 by 5,000 times within 48 hours of a single treatment in a cell culture infected in a laboratory. Ivermectin is derived from culturing strains of Streptomyces such as avermitilis. This bacterium stimulates the excess release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter. Avermectins act on muscle cells and synapses in the peripheral nervous system, causing paralysis and eventually death of the parasite (or virus – as we have now discovered). For us mammals, however, the toxic effect is low as they do not cross the mammalian blood brain barrier. So far, it has only been used by vets to rid animals of their pests such as scabies, mites, roundworm and other internal parasites. It was introduced to the market in 1981, approved at very low dosage for the control of parasites in many animal species (cattle, sheep, swine, horse, cat, and dog), but not approved in lactating cows, sheep, and goats. In agriculture, ivermectin is used for its miticidal, insecticidal, and acaricidal activities.
Q:What about us? Are there any safer, better known, cheaper solutions that are more accessible to the masses? I have just heard that somebody paid R1400 for her Ivermectin treatment!
A: Recent discoveries have shown that Streptomyces (avermectins) could also be the source of new antibiotics needed to fight MRSA and other infections that are drug-resistant. But as for the recent pandemic, it is too soon to say it is a 100% safe panacea. Although they say it does not cross the blood brain barrier, we can no longer claim this to be the case. Due to the effects of EMF and other forms of radiation, many of us no longer have a blood brain barrier that is intact. In other words, Ivermectin, once inside your brain, could irreversibly latch onto the GABA receptors. As is the case with all the parasites it kills, this may prove to be fatal. https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/agricultural-and-biological-sciences/streptomyces-avermitilis
Q: Are Ivermectin and vaccines the best options for this stage of the pandemic?
A: Much ado about mothing, you could say – knowing that iodine is used by the human body to eradicate all manner of infections, including coronaviruses and their constantly mutating cousins. Why are we ignoring iodine, even when doctors know this? https://www.medicalacademic.co.za/infection-control/betadine-could-be-effective-in-combating-c-auris/ Plus I wrote this for SA Medical Academic CPD: https://www.medicalacademic.co.za/integrative-medicine/preventing-and-treating-diseases-with-iodine/ The fear of iodine (iodophobia) has reared its ugly head to such an extent that people are too afraid to maintain optimal iodine levels. As a result, they get infected and desperately flock towards all manner of bizarre solutions, including vaccines that have not yet stood the test of time or redundant – if not repurposed drugs. Has there ever been a reliable vaccine against the coronavirus? No. All we know is that many people have already died as a result of taking a highly publicized vaccine. Over 50% of South African nurses refuse to be vaccinated with novel – although patented substances against Covid-19 / SARS20 that have safety record, let alone come back.
Q: How many people have died from taking iodine supplements?
(PDF) Iodine for Covid (researchgate.net) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5205649/?page=1 Scientists claim that as a treatment for SARS 2 / Covid-19 pandemic, Ivermectin destroys the Viral DNA within 24 hours. (Yet if it breaches the blood brain barrier it may cause serious harm, paralysing muscles and may kill you!) There is plenty of evidence of iodine’s efficacy against Coronaviruses and it is known to be safe at upper limit dosing (1 drop of plain elemental iodine.). We depend on iodine to protect us from atomic radiation, yet we are too scared to take ordinary everyday iodine supplements! Iodine has never killed anybody when used as prescribed to both prevent as well as treat viral – and other diseases
